If you like making love at midnight in the dunes on the cape, it's Monday Mail.
Today's opening is from the song "Escape" by Rupert Holmes.
You might know it as "The Pina Colada Song," which references a personal ad in a newspaper.
Never miss a local story.
Ides of March
It's an exciting time to be alive, and not freezing to death like last week.
For one thing, winter's halftime show just ended, and it's all downhill skiing to spring from here.
Sunday was Groundhog Day, the midpoint between the winter solstice and the vernal equinox.
This year spring begins at 12:57 p.m. EDT March 20, a Thursday. So, St. Patrick's Day will be the preceding Monday, and corresponding celebrations perhaps are best set for Saturday, March 15, the Ides of March.
In the bleak midwinter, it's good to see better times ahead.
Also exciting this time of year are sports, like this past Super Bowl Sunday and the coming Winter Olympics. And with spring well on the way here in the sunny South, we look forward to watching some live Olympics action from Sochi while enjoying cocktails on the veranda, starting with a wintry mix:
Dear Ledger-enquirer.com: I hope this message finds you well! During this exciting week in the world of sports, it is always great to see into the lives of athletes and the brands who help them achieve greatness. U.S. Olympic Speed Skater, Jessica Smith, has recently arrived in Sochi to train and gear up for the 2014 Winter Olympics -- all with a can of coconut juice in hand!
Amy & Brian's Coconut Juice has been proud to support the speed skating team for years, and is excited to see Jessica succeed as she moves on to this year's Olympics.
Below you will find a press release including a profile on Jessica Smith, America's next champion, and the brand that is proud to support her. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like more information!

Can you make pina coladas by blending the coconut juice with ice and Capt. Morgan's spiced rum? Does Jessica Smith like pina coladas? And getting caught in the rain?
Speaking of weather, here's a posting from Robert Farr to a column joking about climate change:
Isn't Obama going to talk about global warming in his upcoming State of the Union address? Great to see you "warming" everyone locally up for his hot air with yours.
Did he talk about global warming? I didn't watch.
