A pharmacist in south Georgia is facing 100 felony drug counts after being arrested Tuesday.
Durwin Nuvelle Logan works as a pharmacist at Effingham Hospital, according to a report from the Savannah Morning News. Effingham is about 35 miles from Savannah.
Logan was arrested on 25 counts of unauthorized distribution of controlled substances, 25 counts of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, 25 counts of manufacture/possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance, or marijuana near a park/housing project and 25 counts of use of communication facility in commission of a felony involving controlled substances.
Logan remained in the Effingham County jail Wednesday.
Hospital officials said they are cooperating with police. City of Springfield Police Detective James Woodcock told the Savannah Morning News the investigation was continuing and authorities would not be providing any more information about the arrest.
