Soldier from Columbus killed in Afghanistan

Spc. Issac L. Johnson, 24, of Columbus, was killed earlier this week in Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 108th Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition Squadron, in Rome, Ga.

His body was returned Wednesday to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, along with that of another Georgia soldier, Sgt. Brock H. Chavers, 25, of Bulloch, who was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 121st Infantry Regiment, Americus.
