A Domino’s Pizza store was the target of an attempted armed robbery early Saturday, Columbus police said.
The store manager at 1919 S. Lumpkin Road called police just after 2 a.m., saying a man had pointed a pistol at him in the parking lot.
The masked gunman, who was carrying a black 9mm handgun, apparently left the scene empty-handed after the store manager fled from him on foot, yelling for help, police said.
The suspect was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban sport utility vehicle, the victim told police.
The case remains under investigation.
