A plan for merger of white and Negro teacher associations in Georgia will be voted on Friday by the entire delegate assembly of the National Education Association.
The chief issues discussed during Defense Secretary Robert S. McNamara’s visit to Saigon this weekend are expected to be more U.S. troops for the war, what to do about the Communist threat in the northern part of the country, the pacification program, the South Vietnamese army and U.S. aid.
Bid on Buses
City Commission voted Wednesday to offer Columbus Transportation Co. $275,000 for the entire bus system. The figure is $19,500 less than the amount reached through negotiations between City Manager Ralph Sayers and bus officials.
