Electricians just have completed a two-week project of modernizing the Columbus Fire Department’s alarm system. The new equipment will bring up to date a system that has been in use since the early part of this century.

Sports

The Washington Redskins gave the fledgling Atlanta Falcons a lesson on what it takes to be a professional football team here Sunday at beautiful Atlanta Stadium. The Falcons responded by taking a page right out of the Washington book of knowledge and using it to snap a four-game losing streak, battling the Redskins to a 20-20 standoff before 56,538 fans.

Vietnam

Gov. Ronald Reagan said, after appearing on the television program “Issues and Answers,” that the United States may be doing much better in Vietnam “than we’re being told.”
