The 2010 French Open kicked off Sunday with a match between Venus Williams and Swiss star Patty Schnyder in which Williams handed Schnyder a loss in two sets (6-3, 6-3), to move forward in the tournament.
That's not really what people were talking about, though, when she walked onto a sun-baked Court Suzanne Lenglen in Paris.
Williams' red-and-black lacy number looked like see-through lingerie. It wasn't really see-through though. That would have been inappropriate. Click the link to the left for some pictures of her outfit.
Day 2 of the tournament promises to bring out more stars as Andy Murray faces a tough first-round test when he takes on home favorite, Richard Gasquet, in his opening match.
Last year's winner, Roger Federer, will also take to the court today to challenge Richard Luczak in his first game of the tournament and Serena Williams will take on Stephanie Vogele in her first match of the tournament.
The Williams sisters, meanwhile, will be battling it out for the women's Grand Slam title. Venus, the world's second best player, will be looking to dethrone her sister, the world's best, during this tournament.
Defending Women’s French Open Champion, Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova, is still a factor in this tournament as she too moved into the second round on Sunday after defeating Sorana Cirstea from Romania, 6-3, 6-1.
