ATLANTA — Thomas Smith went 4-for-5 with four RBIs as Georgia Tech routed Georgia Southern 13-2 at Russ Chandler Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Jackets, who won their fifth straight game, scored four in the second inning and seven in the fifth.
Matt Gonzalez went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Daniel Spingola and A.J. Murray knocked in two runs apiece.
Murray and Connor Justus both homered for the Jackets during the seven-run fifth.
Ben Parr earned the win, going six innings and giving up six hits and one walk. He struck out nine.
Kody Adams went 3-for-5 with a solo homer for Georgia Southern.
Tech (20-13) hosts Savannah State at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
