CSU blows lead but prevails in 10th
Montgomery, Ala. — Columbus State blew a five-run lead in the ninth inning but bounced back to score twice in the 10th to beat Faulkner 14-12 on Tuesday at Harrison Field.
The Cougars led 12-7 heading into the bottom of the ninth, but Faulkner scored five times to force the extra inning.
Eric Skinner went 5-for-7 with three RBIs, Chris Martin went 3-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI and Jeremy Slutzky hit his third home run for the Cougars. Jason Weaver got the win in relief.
CSU hosts Valdosta State at 5 p.m. today.
