In a match that was delayed by rain earlier in the day and didn't end until 1:15 a.m., No. 2 ranked Hawaii Pacific beat No. 6 Columbus State 5-0 in the NCAA Round of 16 on Thursday.
Hawaii Pacific swept the doubles to stake out a 3-0 lead.
At No. 1 singles, Petr Michnev and Thibaud Berland picked up the first win, defeating Adi Malicbegovi and Marco Almorin 8-6.
At No. 2 doubles, Jaume Martinez-Vich and Mattis Wetzel beat Danilo Sardelli and Oussama Zoghlami 8-3.

Yann Renault and Adriano Locorotondo finished the sweep at No. 3 doubles. But they needed a tiebreaker to edge Maciej Kierkus and Benedikt Wilde 9-8 (7-1).
Wetzel beat Sardelli at No. 4 singles, 7-5, 6-3. Berland closed out the match, beating Malicbegovic 7-5, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
CSU, which won its first Peach Belt Conference title this season, finished at 20-6. This was the Cougars' third trip to the Round of 16, the others coming in 2010 and 2011. Both of those seasons, they advanced to the final four.
