ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — The Columbus State women's tennis team lost 5-3 to Hawaii Pacific in a NCAA Division II quarterfinal on Thursday night.
The match was interrupted by a long rain delay.
Hawaii Pacific got off to a fast start winning 2-of-3 doubles.
Hawaii Pacific's Vivian Hansen and Lee Kruse-Utermann beat Beatriz Leon and Olivera Tadijin 8-5 at No. 3 doubles.

Hawaii Pacific took a 2-0 lead at No. 2 doubles as Lorena Gheorghe and Magdalena Smejova beat Laura Chapman and Olivera Jokic 8-6.
CSU avoided the doubles sweep when Paola Cigui and Camila Tobar beat Karen Ramirez and Celina Goetti 8-6 at No. 1 doubles.
Krus-Utermann gave Hawaii Pacific a 3-1 lead with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Tadijin at No. 6 singles.
Cigui won the next match to finish at No. 1 singles. She beat Ramirez 6-3, 6-0.
Smejova gave Hawaii Pacific a 4-2 lead with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Jokic at No. 3 singles.
Leon closed the gap to 4-3 with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Goetti at No. 2 singles.
But Gheorghe closed out the match with her win at No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-0 over Tobar.
Hansen was up 6-2, 5-3 on Chapman at No. 5 singles when the match ended.
