The city of Norman has agreed to pay $60,000 in attorney fees to settle a lawsuit over the city's refusal to release surveillance video that showed former University of Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon striking a woman in a deli.
The police chief who helped catch a serial killer feels no sympathy seeing him executed.“Watching that had no effect on me whatsoever,” Police Chief Ricky Boren said of Carlton Gary’s execution. “Carlton got what was prescribed for him as his fate, by the Superior Court of this county, under law.... It’s my duty as chief of police to stand between the bad and evil and our citizens, and that’s what I did last night.”
