HOOVER, Ala. - Georgia and South Carolina will not be under the lights after all, unless the game goes overtime.
The SEC announced that the Sept. 8 showdown between the Bulldogs and Gamecocks will kick off at 4:30 p.m., and be broadcast on ESPN. (The CBS contract to carry SEC games doesn't kick in until the following week.)
Georgia and South Carolina could both start in the season in the top 10, and they could also be the top two favorites to win the SEC East. The two rivals have won the past three division titles: South Carolina in 2010 and Georgia the next two years.
The Bulldogs will be trying to end a three-game losing streak to the Gamecocks.
