AUBURN, Ala. — Jimmy Perry, who spent the past five seasons as Auburn’s director of football operations, has accepted the head coaching position at St. Paul’s Episcopal in Mobile, Ala.
Perry, 51, had been at Auburn since 2000 and served as director of high school relations until 2004.
“I wanted to be a head coach again, and the opportunity to coach at St. Paul’s will not only allow me to do that but to also make a meaningful impact on young men’s lives,” he said in a press release.
Perry coached for 21 years in high school before coming to Auburn. He was head coach and athletics director at Robert E. Lee High in Montgomery from 1995-200, finishing as the Class 6A state runner-up in 1999 and advancing to the state quarterfinals two other times.
