AUBURN, Ala. — After winning 8-7 in the completion of a game suspended a night earlier on an 11th inning, walk-off home run, Auburn received a 24-2 trouncing at the hands of No. 22 Florida in Game 2 of their series at Plainsman Park on Saturday.
Auburn’s Justin Hargett hit a one-out, walk-off, solo home run in the 11th inning in the completion of a game suspended Friday night to give the Tigers a Game 1 victory. Florida led 4-1 Friday when the game was halted in the top of the fifth.
Auburn hit five home runs in the game to erase a 7-1 deficit in the sixth inning.
The Tigers’ Joseph Sanders hit a pair of homers while Ben Jones and Brian Fletcher each hit one out. It was Auburn’s fifth time hitting five or more home runs in a game this season.

Bradley Hendrix (6-2) earned the win for Auburn’s bullpen after pitching two innings without allowing a base hit and surrendering one walk.
John Luke Jacobs (3-2) took the loss for Auburn in Game 2 after allowing five runs in just more than five innings’ work.
The Tigers (23-11, 7-7) and Gators (22-12, 8-6) play in the rubber match today at 2 p.m. Auburn will start Taylor Thompson (2-1, 7.79 ERA) and the Gators has yet to announce a starter.
