Second-ranked Auburn rallied from a 24-0 deficit to beat Alabama 28-27 in the Iron Bowl on Friday afternoon.
Cam Newton threw a short pass to Phillip Lutzenkirchen with 11:55 left in the fourth quarter to give Auburn its first lead of the game at 28-27.
Newton passed for a touchdown and ran for one in the third quarter.
Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy threw a pair of first-half touchdown passes as Alabama stunned the Tigers by jumping out to a 24-0 lead.
Auburn finally got on the board with 5:08 left in the second quarter on Cam Newton's first touchdown pass of the game, this one 36 yards to Emory Blake.
