Auburn running back Onterio McCalebb. The junior started in place of suspended Michael Dyer and rushed for 109 yards on just 10 carries. He also caught two passes for 53 yards. He scored a touchdown on the ground and through the air.
Auburn coach Gene Chizik rolled the dice early in the second quarter with an onside kick. The Tigers had just tied the game at 14 with 10:33 left before halftime. Kicker Cody Parkey dribbled the ball off the tee and recovered it just as it went past the required 10 yards. Five plays later, the Tigers scored and took the lead for good.
2. Auburn blocked two punts in the game. One led to a touchdown, while the other went out of the back of the end zone for a safety. The last time Auburn blocked more than one punt in a game came in 2003.

The Chick-fil-A Bowl people dropped 3,500 mini plus cows into the stands as both teams took the field prior to the game.
Auburn wide receiver Emory Blake caught six passes for 108 yards. His 50-yard catch set up Auburn’s go-ahead score.
Auburn has won five straight bowl games, the longest such streak in school history.
The Chick-fil-A Bowl announced a sellout crowd, but it appeared that six or seven thousand ticket holders failed to show up.
