BATON ROUGE, La. — We're still a few minutes away from kickoff, here's some pregame notes before Auburn and LSU square off tonight in Tiger Stadium.
- According to a report on ESPN's College Gameday this morning, defensive end Craig Sanders suffered an undisclosed off-field incident which will keep him out of tonight's game. Cornerback Chris Davis, who sat out last week's game, did not travel with the team, Ryan White will start for the second straight game.
- Auburn's Dee Ford, who played for the first time this season last Saturday, is back in the starting lineup at defensive end, while Ben Bradley will start in Jeff Whitaker's place at defensive tackle once again.
- For LSU, Jeremy Hill gets the nod at running back, while Tre'Davious White is in the starting lineup at cornerback. This marks the freshman's second career start, and second consecutive after last week's game versus Kent State.
- The temperature was 72 degrees 20 minutes prior to kickoff, with wind blowing at 11 mph in a north-by-northeast direction. Humidity was at 96 percent.
And be sure to check out another on-camera appearance by me, and the first of the year "on the road" in a "hostile environment."
(And if you saw the way I got moved by the ESPN camera crew, it appears opposing beat writers are treated with the same respect as their teams.)
