AUBURN, Ala. — The most inexperienced member of Auburn's offensive line entering the season earned the praise of SEC coaches on Thursday.
Alex Kozan, the team's starting left guard, was selected to the SEC's All-Freshman team by the league's coaches on Thursday. The Castle Rock, Colo., native was the only Auburn player picked by the coaches; notably, fellow first-year Tigers Carl Lawson and Avery Young were left off.
Kozan redshirted last year, establishing himself as a starter during the first week of fall camp. It's a spot he has yet to relinquish, as Kozan has started all 13 games at left guard this season, part of an offensive line that has paved the way for the top rushing attack in the country at 335.7 yards per game.
