AUBURN, Ala. — As I'll be on the road and working on a story for most of the day, it's a straighforward "4 at 4" this afternoon.
1. Dee Ford continues to have no problem adapting to the NFL. In an interview with the Ledger-Enquirer's sister paper in Kansas City, Mo., — The Kansas City Star — the former Auburn defensive end says he's ready to play in "Pass-Rush City."
2. If you watched ESPN at any point between 1997-2007, you're bound to have seen commercials for the "Tom Emanski Instructional Videos." But in the last 11 years, the man behind the videos has turned into a recluse. Fox Sports' Erik Malinowski tells how Emanski disappeared almost as quickly as he came into the public eye.
Never miss a local story.
(And make sure to check out the most well-known of his long-running commercials, featuring the immortal Fred "Crime Dog" McGriff.)
3. In the vein of his predecessor and boss, Bill Simmons, Grantland's Bill Barnwell ranks the NFL's top players in terms of their trade value. (Note that there is one instance where a profane word is used in the piece.)
4. As per usual, we'll end on a video clip. Maybe I'm the only one who will find this hilarious, but I love Frank Caliendo's impersonation of Jon Gruden. This particular sketch from two years ago didn't get near the publicity it deserved, in my opinion.
