AUBURN, Ala. — Much like Nick Marshall, Jonathon Mincy is set to start the season on the sideline as part of his punishment for a marijuana arrest in June. But when will the senior corner enter Saturday's contest?
"I don't know all the details on all of that," Auburn defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson replied.
In Mincy's absence, it appears Josh Holsey will take his place at boundary corner, part of some recent reshuffling in the secondary.
"We kind of got into that four or five days ago," Johnson said. "We moved Holsey and Mincy to the boundary where we had a good rotation there, with Holsey backing Mincy up. Trovon (Reed) is backing up (Jonathan) Jones at the field corner.
As for senior Star Robenson Therezie — who is "working through some eligibility issues" — Johnson deferred to Malzahn.
"Coach said the depth chart will come out Tuesday, and I really don't have anything on any personnel issues," he said. "I'd have to leave that up to him."
