AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee said Sunday he's unsure whether true freshman running back Kamryn Pettway will redshirt this season.
"You would always like to play guys if they are ready to play at all,” Lashlee said. “If they’re not ready or the depth chart doesn’t give them a chance then you would like to not waste a year. We’ll see how that ends up about week three or four."
Pettway was one of two running backs the Tigers signed in the 2014 recruiting class, joining Roc Thomas. During preseason camp, Pettway battled Thomas and redshirt freshman Peyton Barber to establish themselves behind the senior duo of Cameron Artis-Payne and Corey Grant.
