AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn got its latest commit for its 2016 recruiting class Thursday in the form of linebacker Tre Threat. The Spanish Fort High School (Ala.) defender chose Auburn over his other finalist, Ole Miss.
Threat is rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals and a three-star by Scout and 247Sports. Last season, he collected 123 tackles and 4.5 sacks, according to 247Sports.
With his pledge, the Tigers now have six players committed for the 2016 recruiting cycle, a group that includes tight end Landon Rice, receiver Nate Craig-Myers, athlete Stephen Davis Jr. and defensive linemen Quinnen Williams and David Marshall.
Auburn's class is ranked No. 15 in Rivals' team rankings and No. 23 by Scout and 247Sports.
