AUBURN, Ala. — Gus Malzahn and Bo Jackson are noted for their exploits for Auburn's football team. On Monday, the Tigers' coach and the former Heisman Trophy winner hooked up to capture titles on the links. Representing Auburn at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge — an annual event in Greensboro, Ga., which raises money for the bowl's charitable and scholarship donations — Malzahn and Jackson won two different skills competitions.
Malzahn won the closest to the pin competition among participating coaches, knocking his shot within 7 feet, 9 inches. Jackson emerged victorious in the long drive competition among celebrity players, booming his drive 331.5 yards off the tee.
