A pair of Alabama players earned honors for their play in the win over Clemson on Saturday.
Mike Johnson was named the Southeastern Conference offensive lineman of the week and teammate Terrence Cody was named the top defensive lineman.
Vanderbilt quarterback Chris Nickson was named the player of the week.
The SEC gave defensive honors to Kentucky tackle Myron Pryor. Florida return man Brandon James won special teams honors.
Nickson ran for a career-high 166 yards and passed for 91 yards in a win at Miami of Ohio. He accounted for three touchdowns.
Pryor knocked loose a fumble that Ashton Cobb returned for a touchdown and returned another fumble 72 yards for a score.
James had a 74-yard punt return in Florida’s blowout of Hawaii.
Mississippi running back Brandon Bolden was freshman of the week.
