Georgia defensive back arrested on felony charge
Georgia freshman defensive back Latavious Brini was arrested Tuesday evening on a first-degree felony forgery charge, according to an Athens-Clarke County jail log.
Brini was booked at 6:16 p.m. and released at 9:23 p.m. He was issued a bond amount of $5,700, with a total of $5,000 listed under the bond remarks section. Arrested by the Clarke County Sheriff's Office, this forgery charge is listed as a felony.
This is the third Georgia arrest since the team wrapped up its regular season and SEC Championship win over Auburn. Hours after beating the Tigers, Natrez Patrick and Jayson Stanley were arrested on marijuana-related charges in Barrow County.
According to Georgia's game logs, Brini did not see game action in 2017. He competed in high school at Mater Academy Charter in Hialeah, Florida.
