ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia’s Rich Poythress went 4-for-4 with three home runs and a double to lead the No. 1 Bulldogs over Kennesaw State.
Poythress became the sixth player in the program’s history to hit three homers in a single game.
Colby May, Peter Verdin, Levi Hyams and Matt Cerione also homered for Georgia (32-8), which had a season-high seven homers.
Cecil Tanner (3-0) earned the win, allowing one run on three hits with five strikeouts in three innings.
