ATHENS - If you want to watch Georgia play in the SEC men's basketball tournament, you'll have to stay up late.
Georgia will play Mississippi State in Thursday's first round, in a game scheduled for 10 p.m. eastern. (That's 9 p.m. in New Orleans, the site of the tournament.) Of course, the game is set to follow another first-round game, which is set to start at 7:30 ET. And if that game runs over, the Georgia-Mississippi State game is likely to start closer to 10:30.
Georgia (14-16 overall, 5-11 in the SEC) enters having won two of three, and it won at Mississippi State last month. Then again, Mississippi State (21-10, 8-8) is fighting for its NCAA tournament life.
The winner of that game will face Vanderbilt, the third see, which has a bye into Friday's quarterfinals. That quarterfinal will also be the final game in Friday's slate, tentatively scheduled for 10 p.m. ET.
