WASHINGTON, D.C. - It's spring break at UGA, and hopefully where you are too. And as you may be able to tell by the dateline, the break finds me up in our nation's capital.
As you may expect, President Obama has invited me up to offer advice on his bracket. Once I'm done saving democracy, and the president's Southeast bracket, I'll be heading back to the home base in Athens for a bit more rest and relaxation before Georgia spring practice begins.
The past couple weeks have been pretty busy, as the blog hopefully shows. New Orleans was hectic enough, and then the football team decided to make a good bit of news on Monday. I'm a bit winded even writing those two sentences.
My point? I'm on vacation this week. I'll be taking this week off to get re-acquainted with my family, as well as watch 12 hours a day of basketball from Thursday through Sunday. I'll be tweeting any thoughts from my couch, but otherwise the boss has advised me to take it easy, and get ready for some spring football madness. (That starts March 20.)
Never miss a local story.
Good luck on your bracket - as long as it doesn't involve any large Rick Neuheisel-sized pool, because that's illegal, you know. We'll see you back here next week, blogging, tweeting and writing the heck out of spring practice. Oh, and I promise a mailbag too.
See ya soon.
