Georgia was up early for a Sunday morning practice. Here is some video, with some selected music played over it since UGA has requested that audio from practice not be broadcast.
- Freshman safety Tray Matthews was in a green non-contact jersey, which means he's injured. But before anyone rushes to panic, Matthews was going through drills, which he wouldn't be if he was hurt badly, or had a concussion. He wasn't wearing a brace and was walking around fine, so the guess is some minor upper body injury.
(Update: Todd Grantham said after practice that Matthews will be fine. The team didn't have an official injury report, and Grantham didn't say what the injury was, but again, it doesn't seem very serious.)
- Watts Dantzler, somewhat of a forgotten man on the offensive line, was getting some first-team reps at right guard. Chris Burnette, the presumed starter there, was at practice.
- Freshman receiver Tramel Terry, still working his way back from knee surgery, was making some cuts after making catches. He doesn't look quite game-ready yet, but there's almost four weeks left until the actual game.
