AUBURN, Ala. — Alabama Power Company will close portions of Donahue Drive and Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive this week while crews relocate power poles and transmission lines. The work will begin at 7 a.m. CDT each day from Wednesday through Friday, with the roads reopening by 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and noon on Friday.
The portion of Donahue Drive expected to be closed include the section between Glenn Avenue and Bragg Avenue on Wednesday and Thursday and the section from Bragg to Porter Avenue on Friday.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Drive closing is the section between Donahue Drive and Byrd Street on Wednesday and Thursday.
Work schedules and road closings are subject to change in the event of inclement weather. Check the City of Auburn's website at www.auburnalabama.org to view the latest news on street closings so they may adjust their routes accordingly.
