Teens Empowerment Awareness with ResolutionS Inc. (TEARS) has received $3,000 from the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation.
The grant check was presented to TEARS executive director Angelia Walton by Bridgette Gray, a local attorney and participating member of ACJF.
TEARS will use the contribution to fund it's Catch Up and Keep Up Tutorial Program. The program has two components — after-school tutorial and in-school monitoring.
TEARS collaborated with parents and teachers to ensure that the youth enrolld in their program is receiving all the vital resources they will need to succeed.
