In a tri-match at Troup County, Brookstone lost to Troup 25-18, 21-25 and 25-16, then beat Carver 25-21, 20-25 and 25-22.

Smiths, Columbus girls, Shaw, Jordan boys win
The Smiths Station and Columbus girls and Shaw and Jordan boys won their respective 5-kilometer races during Tuesday’s cross country meet at Kinnett Stadium.
Shaw’s boys won with 35 points, followed by Smiths Station (43), Schley County (53), Brookstone (102), Harris County (150) an Kendrick (171). Jesse Crouch of Smiths Station won the race in 17:56.49 out of 76 other runners.
Smiths’ girls won with 15 points, followed by Shaw (52) and Schley County (73). Anje Kidd of Smiths Station won the race in 21:48.13 out of 31 other runners.
Columbus girls swept the top seven places in their race as the Lady Blue Devils were the only team that had enough runners to score as a school. Jessica Ridley of Columbus won the race in 21:16.88 out of 25 other runners.
Jordan’s boys won with 41 points, followed by Columbus (44), Troup County (81), Hardaway (92), Carver (133) and Chattahoochee County (155). Charlies Sparks of Columbus won the race in 17:17.85 out of 91 other runners.
