Former Carver football player Jarmon Fortson has been released from Florida State, according to reports.
FSU coach Jimbo Fisher simply said the release was due to a violation of team rules, but did not elaborate.
“He has been dismissed for a violation of team rules,” Fisher said to ESPN.com's Mark Schlaback. “We wish him the best in everything he does. We love him.”
Forston caught 45 passes for 610 yards and four touchdowns last season as a sophomore for FSU.
