SEALE, Ala. -- Ben Russell dominated the time of possession and ball control in its 42-13 win over Russell County Friday.
Russell County did not make it onto the scoreboard until Byron Johnson connected with Dontavious Hill on a 45-yard pass with 4:50 remaining in the fourth quarter.
The other score of the night for the Warriors came on a 91-yard pass from Curtez Woods to Joshua Washington with just 31 seconds left in the game.
Benjamin Russell banked six rushing touchdowns between the first and third quarters, giving the Wildcats a 42-0 lead going into the fourth quarter.

The Wildcats quarterback, Bryant Horn, was 17 of 22 for 235 yards in the game. He did not have a pass over nine yards until a 40-yard bomb later in the contest.

The combination of this passing attack and the multiple rushing touchdowns kept Russell County at bay throughout the contest.
Russell County had only 27 yards rushing and nine yards passing in the first half with one first down. The defense for Benjamin Russell held Russell County to negative yardage in the third quarter.
Russell County managed just two first downs in the first half.
The outcome was much the same as last year's game. The Wildcats downed the Warriors 50-3 last season.
Benjamin Russell now leads the series 6-0.
