Shaw held Sandy Creek out of the end zone on the opening drive of the game when Patriot quarterback Cole Garvin's fourth-down pass was dropped in the end zone.
Once they gained possession again, the Patriots scored at will, defeating Shaw 49-0 at Kinnett Stadium in a Region 5-AAAA game on Thursday night.
Shaw was held to just 75 yards of offense, including just 8 on the ground. The Raiders have scored only 14 points in three region games
Sandy Creek scored on a two-play, 44-yard drive when Demarre Kitt caught a pass behind the line of scrimmage on the right sideline, got a block from an offensive lineman down field and raced across the field to score at the left pylon for a 7-0 lead. Kitt, a Clemson commit, had five receptions for 92-yards.
The Patriots went up 14-0 on a 4-yard run from Delvin Weems.
Eric Swinney scored his first of three touchdowns of longer than 55-yards when he ran through the center of the Raider defense for a 55-yard run with 6:53 remaining in the half for a 21-0 lead.
Sandy Creek rolled up 218 yards of total offense in the third quarter on seven plays and scored 28 points.
Swinney had a 65-yard run to cap a two-play, 74-yard drive on the Patriots' first second-half possession pushing the score to 28-0.
Weems scored on a 23-yard run to cap a two-play, 51-yard drive and a 35-0 score.
