The Columbus High girls tennis team moved into the GHSA Class AAAA state semifinals after a 4-1 victory over Chamblee on Friday at Lakebottom.
The Lady Blue Devils (22-2) will play West Laurens in the semifinals. The site for that match will be determined with a coin flip since they were both region champions. Richmond Academy and Marist will play in the other semifinal. Those matches must be played by Wednesday.
The state championship match will be played May 10.
"I'm so proud of the way the girls have come together as a team," Columbus coach MikelAnna Hill said. "They want to win and are determined to play their best when they step on the court.

Columbus fell behind 1-0 after Chamblee's Gabby Robinson won No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-3 over Madelyn Boren.
Columbus' Maddison Abell evened the match with her win at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-4 over Kyla Manning.
Akshaya Shan and Kate Mize needed three sets but won at No. 2 doubles, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 over Kendalle Smith and Emma Anderson.
Mayu Ono closed out the match with her win at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-1 over Hannah Rosen.
