EATONTON, Ga. -- Columbus' Jimmy Beck earned a spot in the U.S. Amateur Championship on Tuesday during a qualifying tournament at Great Waters on Reynolds Plantation.
Beck was the co-medalist in the two-day qualifier at 8-under (68-68-136). Blake Kennedy of Clemson shared the medalist honors (67-69-136).
Beck plays at Kennesaw State, while Kennedy plays at Clemson.
Bo Andrews, who just completed his career at Georgia Tech, earned the third qualifying spot at 6-under-par 138 (67-71).

Beck, who played at Columbus High, will play in the 114th annual U.S. Amateur at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, Ga., on Aug. 11-17.
