Chattahoochee County QB David Cochran was back at practice on Tuesday and said he has been cleared by his doctor to play this week.
Cochran was knocked out during last week's game against Brookstone and taken to the hospital, and ChattCo. coach Shaun Pope said Monday he did not expect Cochran back this week after Cochran suffered an apparent concussion.
But good news for ChattCo. came this week when Cochran said his doctor said it wasn't a concussion and cleared him for play.
I did a pretty extensive series on concussions this summer that you can check out here.
Also injured Friday and diagnosed with concussions were Smiths Station DB Travis Banks and Russell County QB Darrie Miles. Miles is expected to sit out this week, according to Russell County coach Tripp Henderson, and Banks is "day-to-day," according to Smiths Station coach Mark Rose.
