Several changes to the GHSA state golf meets proposed by Columbus High are on the agenda at the organization's August executive committee meeting.
According to the agenda, which was released today, the provisions include: increasing the number of individual participants at the state meet; changing the state meet from a one-day to a two-day, 26-hole event; and moving the date of the tournament back two weeks from its usual date.
There are some other interesting topics on the agenda, too, including a new concussion education proposal, a proposal to tighten eligibility requirements and a proposal to allow the GHSA director to approve recruiting fairs.
The meeting will be held on Aug. 16 at at the Ramada Inn in Forsyth, Ga.
