Carver defensive lineman Gabe Wright picked up another award on Monday when it was announced he has been named to the Parade All-American team.
Wright (6-3, 290) has had various all-state and all-region honors throughout his high school career, and he was named the Ledger-Enquirer All-Bi-City Defensive Player of the Year in December. He is expected to chose to sign with Auburn or Tennessee on Wednesday, which is national signing day.
Wright is one of several Georgia players on the team, including DB Brian Randolph (6-0, 180) from Kell and Thomas County Central DL Ray Drew (6-5, 255), who appears on the cover of the All-American issue.
But guess who's not on the team. It's none other than Carver RB Isaiah Crowell, ranked by ESPN as the No. 1 running back prospect in the country. Any thoughts on the omission? Was he worthy of the team?
