Harris County softball’sOlivia Wolfe
signed with Gordon College on Friday afternoon, saying the Barnesville, Ga., school felt like the perfect fit.
“I was really looking for a small college, and they just fit everything I wanted,” Wolfe said. “The campus is nice, I liked the dorms, and it was just where I could tell I wanted to go.”
Wolfe said she hopes to earn playing time at third base as a freshman and may be a backup pitcher.
Wolfe was a first-team Ledger-Enquirer All-West Georgia Softball player as a junior and senior. In 2009, she batted .326 with 28 hits, 24 runs, a home run and 15 RBIs. In 2010, she was 9-7 pitching with a 1.87 ERA and 112 strikeouts while batting .273 with 12 runs, 24 hits, 15 RBIs and two home runs.
