Kendrick senior Jamar Comar didn't think it was a huge deal.
Scoring a go-ahead touchdown from 3 yards out and intercepting a deep ball on the final play of the game, to him, was just being in the right position to make a play.
But looking at the big picture indicates differently. They were two plays that helped Kendrick get its second win of the season, 12-8, over Bremen, which already had wins against Chattahoochee County and Jordan and put up 35 points against undefeated Heard County.
It doesn't make the season a success yet, but it helps Kendrick get on the right track.
Never miss a local story.
For his efforts, he is the Ledger-Enquirer's High School Football Player of the Week.
He spoke Monday with the L-E about the two plays and how the team can continue to improve.
