If you’re wondering if there’s a hack to getting cheaper gas, we may have just stumbled upon it.
And the hack is as simple as picking the right day of the week to fill up.
A new study by Delancey Street found the cheapest and most expensive days of the week to fill up your gas tank in each state.
The study did this by using GasBuddy data and analyzing it for all 50 states. Specifically, experts calculated the average price per gallon for every day of the week in each state, then identified the day when prices were consistently at their lowest.
So which day is the cheapest to fill up in GA? Let’s see:

The study found that Sunday is the best day to fill up gas tanks in Georgia.
“That means drivers in these states may still benefit from filling up before the workweek starts, even if Sunday prices are not as low nationally as Monday prices are elsewhere,” said study experts.
Sunday is the best day to fill up in several other states such as Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida and Iowa.
However, the most expensive day of the week to fill up in Georgia is Tuesday.
Monday is the cheapest day for most states to fill up on gas (34) and Wednesday is the most expensive day for the majority of states to fill up (32).
