“Elf” tells the story of Buddy, a young orphan who accidentally crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Buddy is raised as an elf, unaware he is actually a human. His enormous size and poor toy-making abilities force him to face the truth. Santa gives Buddy permission to travel to New York City and search for his birth father, learn his true identity, and remind New York of the true meaning of Christmas. “Elf” is part of the Mainstage Series in Emily Woodruff Hall. Performances are scheduled for Dec. 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 9, 16, 22 and 23 at 2:30 p.m. Go to www.ledger-enquirer.com for video from a recent rehearsal and a chance to meet cast members.
