How to watch tonight’s free screening of ‘Electric Jesus’ movie filmed in Columbus

A movie filmed in Columbus last year is hosting an exclusive and free online screening Friday night.

Electric Jesus,” which includes local folks in the cast and crew, is billed as a coming-of-age musical comedy about an ill-fated Christian hair metal band.

To register for the screening, which starts tonight at 8 on Zoom, click on this link. The screening is part of the Image Summer Stage series and will include interviews with some of the cast and crew members.

Will Oliver, from Northside High School and Columbus State University, as well as Jef Holbrook of the Springer Film Institute, are in the cast.

“Wheel of Fortune” star Vanna White was an executive producer of the movie when it was announced in August 2019, but she isn’t listed in the credits now.
