Vote now: What upcoming Columbus event are you most excited about?

Spring is fast approaching, and Uptown Columbus has a variety of family-friendly events on the calendar as COVID-19 case numbers in Muscogee County remain low.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has relaxed its guidelines on masks and reframed the way COVID-19 community levels are determined. Muscogee County reported that 6% of PCR tests in the last two weeks have been positive, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health, and the CDC rates the county as having a medium community level.

This means that people in Muscogee County do not need to wear masks indoors unless they are at high risk for severe illness. On Friday, Columbus Mayor Skip Henderson lifted the mask mandate in city-owned buildings.

As COVID-19 restrictions ease, many people may be looking to enjoy their usual spring activities and Uptown Columbus is helping residents take advantage of the warmer weather.

The Ledger-Enquirer wants to hear from you. Which of these events are you most excited about this spring?
