A movie starring John Travolta is expected to slow the normal flow of motorists and pedestrians in Columbus while it’s being filmed around town for the next two weeks.

From June 9-24, folks working and visiting downtown should expect traffic delays and reduced on-street parking availability in the 1100 and 1200 blocks of Broadway.

Also, road closures on Broadway between 11th and 12th streets are expected June 12-13, the Columbus Police Department announced on its Facebook page.

Bryan Iler, the location manager for the production company Fifty Feet Movie LLC, gave the Ledger-Enquirer more specific information about the road closures on Broadway between 11th and 12th streets:

  • June 12 approximately 10 a.m. to midnight
  • June 13 approximately 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Deputy city manager Lisa Goodwin provided the L-E with locations for scenes during the movie’s filming, under the condition that dates and times at these locations aren’t reported:

  • Synovus Bank, 1148 Broadway, interior and exterior
  • Freeze Frame Yogurt Shoppe, 1100 Broadway, exterior
  • Lake Oliver Marina, 5501 River Road.
