A Christmas movie is being filmed near Columbus. Here’s how you can be in it
Columbus area residents can be background actors in a Christmas-themed movie being filmed in LaGrange.
The Downtown LaGrange Development Authority posted a link on its Facebook page to a Google form, where folks can apply to be extras on the set of the movie, “A Perfect Christmas Pairing.”
City of LaGrange Marketing and Communications Manager Katie Mercer Van Schoor told the Ledger-Enquirer filming has already been done at some restaurants, and street scenes are scheduled to be filmed Sept. 25-26 and Oct. 4, when downtown will be festooned with Christmas décor.
“We are so excited to have this opportunity to showcase LaGrange,” she said. “We feel we do Christmas right in LaGrange. … So this is a great opportunity to put our city on display for the whole world.”
Even better: LaGrange will be the name of the town in the movie, she said.
Most of the movie’s filming will be done at Nutwood Winery, Van Schoor said. Other locations include C’son’s, Café Brulee, Emberglow and Pretty Good Books.
The movie is an independent film, she said, but didn’t know the company’s name.
“They will see who picks up the movie after production,” Van Schoor said in a follow-up text message. “They will let is know where to watch it after it is picked up.”
Barbie Watts, marketing director for the Downtown LaGrange Development Authority, told the L-E in a text message, “We are also in discussion with them about possibly holding a local screening.”
