Ten acts over two days in Columbus. RushSouth Music Festival announces new event’s lineup
Even if you can’t distinguish a kayak from a canoe, if you like outdoor concerts in a beautiful setting, then you might want to attend this new event in Columbus.
Uptown Columbus, which promotes the city’s downtown area, has announced the dates and performers for the 2023 RushSouth Music Festival and Outdoor Games.
In conjunction with the International Canoe Federation World Freestyle Kayak Championships from Oct. 9-14, the music festival will be held from Oct. 14-15, featuring headliners Dawes and Gov’t Mule. Here’s the complete lineup:

Performance times haven’t been set.
Music festival tickets, starting at $80, will allow entry to the stage areas in Woodruff Park and along Bay Avenue for the mix of folk, indie, rock and country music. To receive SMS messages for the first opportunity to buy music festival tickets this week, organizers encourage folks to register at rushsouthfest.com.
More than 300 athletes from more than 30 countries are expected to be in Columbus for the kayaking competition at RushSouth Whitewater Park in the Chattahoochee River. The outdoor games will include an adventure race hosted by TriColumbusGA, a Zen Zone with yoga classes and other activities hosted by Just Breathe for Kids and River Flow Yoga.
Admission to watch the kayaking competition is free. Some fees may apply to participate in outdoor games.
